Propaganda was highly used within the first and second world war, it was used to gain volunteers for the war so they were strong and made the war look easy and fun, by mocking the opponents of war.

The left image shows an 'iron fist' which can symbolise the power and strength, above everyone else at war, it is also written in the german language and is showing this simple power. The right image symbolises the hard work you have to deal with, the darkness on his face shows hard work and can symbolise, dirt, soot, hard work, not being allowed to shower, coal and many other aspects of war.
