How do we think about gender and sexual difference?

This image is the one I took away most from the lecture, I felt Allen Jones' work is outstanding and the way in which he does his photography. I felt this image discusses both gender and differences. The way in which the women has been placed shows how they are underminded and used as furniture. The women in the picture has been positioned with the seat cushion, tied to her. It makes her look like she is there just to be used she doesn't have her own job to do. She still has her hair and make-up done which in the 50's-60's many housewives still took pride in, by having their fashion, this image takes that away from the women by her showing skin and being dressed sexually.
